Apache Gold, Part 2 of 3

Through the field glasses Drake could make out the shimmering image of six men riding abreast at a slow gallop.

White Hawk
by Kenneth Mark Hoover
I walked between the bodies. Everyone was dead. Horses, dogs, men.
The smoke from the burning wagons towered like black pillars against the blue, unwinking sky. Canvas

Welcome!
Still winter. I really hoped it would be summer by now. At least, spring.
But, no, the calendar hasn't sped up just to suit me. Oh, well, so it goes.
It's March. Lions and lambs and all that. To blazes with them. Let's just
sit back and enjoy this month's yarns.
Have you told your story-loving friends about Frontier Tales? Do they know about the
tales we're bringing to you? Spread the word!
Do you know anyone who wants to write Westerns but doesn't know how to get them
published? That's what we're here for, to help new authors' work see the light
of day. Spread the word!

New Author?
We know it's getting harder and harder to find someone who will publish your western
or historical stories. Well, if you're looking for an opportunity to get your
work shown, you've come to the right place. You give us a story, the right to publish your work online,
maintain it in our archives, and include it in a print reproduction, such as
in an anthology. We'll put it out there for the world to enjoy.
We're looking for well-written short stories. If you would like to submit one for publication, send it to
editor@frontiertales.com in the body of an email. No attachments, please.
Be sure to check our submission requirements.
